Spring in the Afterschool Arts Academy is blooming with new additions such as Swimming Lessons, The Golden Goose play auditions, a Parent and Child Ceramics class and Spring Break Art Camp. Firstly, we would like to thank you all of you for supporting our flourishing program. As always, feel free to call us with feedback, ideas or anything that might be pertinent. We love hearing from those that we are serving.
Swimming! Swimming is back on the calendar at Studio One. We will bring the kids over to our neighbor's and fellow-city partners, the Temescal Pool, for swim lessons starting on March 30th. Swimming lessons will happen every Wednesday from 2:30-3:30. The fee is $5 additional dollars per Wednesday, making the total charges $20.00. In order to participate, please fill out the Swimming Permission Slip & Questionnaire available now at the reception desk and attached. The registration coordinator for swimming is Sharon Zetter, our new After School Program Coordinator.
In April, Studio One Arts Center's Classic Children's Attic Theater in conjunction with the After School Arts Academy presents The Bunny Show and The Golden Goose! Auditions will be held from 4:00pm to 5:30pm Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday April 11th-13th at Studio One Art Center. The fees for participating in the play are either $100.00 or $15.00 per day as a part of the After School Arts Academy (this option includes transit). Children ages 5-6 will audition for the opening act-- "The Bunny Show" and children ages 7-12 will audition for "The Golden Goose." There is no need to register for audition, just show up and break a leg!
Another class I am happy to announce is a Parent and Child ceramics class on Saturdays, so families can experience Studio One together. Children must be 4 years and older to participate in this class. Be prepared to get your hands dirty! Call us to register today! The first class starts March 26th and is from 9:30 to 11:00am. Fees are $91.00.
